The Greater Hampton Roads Division of the March of Dimes commends and thanks the Portsmouth Police Department for outstanding support and dedication in making Portsmouth WalkAmerica 2007 a successful and rewarding event. The June 16 Police Rodeo adds a fun event to a serious cause.
The March of Dimes works to fund research, education, community programs and advocacy for the prevention of birth defects, premature births and infant mortality.
The March of Dimes was founded by community members determined to make a difference in the health of our country. The department’s officers and staff who have contributed hours of volunteer service and generous participation throughout the year continue the volunteer tradition of serving to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
For service and commitment, we are proud to count the Portsmouth Police Department March of Dimes heroes.
